Whitaker & Rawson Consulting Engineers was organized in May of 1996 and specializes in the design of HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems.

The firm is based in Homewood, Alabama and employs a prevalent staff of full and part-time employees.  Some of our current projects provide design services for The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Hoover City Schools; Jefferson County Schools; Birmingham City Schools; St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama; East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama; AmSouth Center in Birmingham, Alabama; UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama; Medical Center East in Birmingham, Alabama; and Russell Hospital in Alexander City, Alabama, as well as many others.

Currently, we are registered in fourteen states including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Utah along with having a membership in the National Council of Engineers, which aids in speeding the registration process.

Whitaker & Rawson, Inc. has an immense background and a real understanding of how the construction world is changing.  With our experience and the vast knowledge of our staff, we can produce Contract Documents for a wide range of projects from basic to very complex.  As reflected in the Portfolio Section, we have extensive experience in all property classifications and building types.  Whitaker & Rawson, Inc. is willing to work with Architects, Owners and Contractors to adjust designs to fit individual projects and budget requirements.
